The Hope Altar

At 4bid Gallery in Amsterdam, we were lucky enough to build the hope altar with everyone who joined the evening as audience members. This was our first attempt at building the altar collectively, with many people. 

At the point of this iteration, the altar contains over 60 objects, and Tery and Madison have memorized each item, its reasoning for being on the altar, and the person who made the offering. We made the discovery that holding these hopes inside our bodies is a large part of the performance itself.
